LG 32 inch curved monitor 32MR50C-B review. Satisfaction or Disappointment?

LG has just put two of their new monitors on the market. One of which was the 22-inch LG 22MR410-B that we discussed and reviewed earlier. And today we will discuss this 32 inch curved monitor LG 32MR50C-B. While the other monitor is in a slightly better position, this LG 32 inch curved monitor is filled with lots of disappointments. But why so much disappointment? Let’s try to comprehend the reasons from the full review.

A glimpse at the specifications:

The design and display attributes:

This LG 32 inch curved monitor resolution is 1920 x 1080p. And the panel we can see here is a VA panel. VA panel is famous for providing a high contrast ratio, higher refresh rate, and less response time. This 1500R curved monitor has a 100Hz refresh rate with a 5ms (GtG) Response Time. The display specifications seem disappointing to us. The first thing we can notice is the only 1080p resolution on this massive screen. 2K Resolution would be great to have. Even the PPI is only 69.93 which we have come to know from different sources. Many users have reported less picture sharpness and clarity. This is because of its low resolution and low PPI. The response time reduction was possible as a VA panel. It seems to us that LG is just kidding the buyers.

I/O Ports

Then if we look at the I/O ports we can see it has:

  • 1 D-Sub Port,
  • 2 HDMI 1.4 ports and
  • 1 Headphone Out port.

Users might expect some important ports on such a large monitor, which is not present here. Without two HDMIs they could give other important I/O ports.

There is no special ergonomic facility available for this monitor.

  • Only a Detachable Base,
  • Display Position Tilt Adjustments (-5~20º),
  • and (100 x 100 mm) Wall Mount facility.

With the stand, the monitor weighs 13.7 lbs. And luckily we are getting a HDMI cable inside the box. The design and display section of the entire monitor is very disappointing. Of course, we should know these things before buying a monitor. Now with a 32-inch curved panel, if the important things behind it are completely reduced, how much will a buyer benefit from buying such a monitor?

Special Features:

This LG 32 inch curved monitor has several useful features in it.

We see these features in almost all low-budget to mid-budget monitors. Some gaming-focused features would be a good option to have.

What are the drawbacks here?

This monitor is full of flaws. LG probably launched this monitor in the market without field testing it. Some major flaws in this monitor are more noticeable. Even without those, maybe this monitor could be somewhat promising.

  • The response time is long and the screen resolution is only 1080p.
  • Lack of useful ports.
  • Its viewing experience is terrible. If you look at the 32″ screen, there is no feeling of pleasuring picture quality.

We have mentioned below the opinions and reviews of the users which you can understand the authenticity.

Conclusion:

The results of the LG 32MR50C-B monitor review in its entirety are disappointing. There are several models of 32″ monitors available in the market that offer better specifications and features. Eg: Acer EI322QUR, ViewSonic OMNI VX3218, Acer Nitro EDA270U Pbmiipx, etc. In such a situation, a monitor from LG is not suitable at all. We advise you to know about this LG 32 inch curved monitor in detail first and then make a fair decision. This is very necessary to avoid fraud and the manufacturer also takes the matter seriously.
